You expected that news on Daunte would be quick following the trade for Trent Green, and like clockwork, Culpepper is already pleading his case. Word is he was approached by management, who notified him of their desire to trade him. No surprise there.
It sounds as if Daunte really wants to compete for the job. If anything, I got to give him credit for being determined to rebound from shredding his knee. He seems more than optimistic in his shot at competing with the other 26 QBs in camp and expects nothing but a spot on the roster. Though it seems awfully curious that he was cleared to practice the day the Dolphins made the move for Green.
